Meet the Hill Country Village Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re a small crew, and we like it that way. When you call Otto’s Garage Door, you won’t get a rotating cast of strangers at your driveway. You’ll get one of the four people below, each of whom lives within twenty minutes of Hill Country Village and has worked on hundreds of doors in this county. We know the soil shifts that throw tracks out of alignment out here. We know which opener models hold up to Texas heat and which ones cook their circuit boards by August. And we all answer to the same person: Otto Reinhardt, the owner, whose name is on the van, the invoice, and the license.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt – Owner, Lead Technician

Otto founded the company in 2004 and still takes calls, quotes jobs, and shows up with tools in hand. He’s the reason a live person answers the phone at nine at night when a spring lets go and your vehicle is sealed inside the garage. After nearly three decades in this trade, he can diagnose most problems from the sound a door makes over the phone. His specialty is torsion spring systems, and he counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles. If there’s a door in Hill Country Village held together with a bungee cord, Otto has seen it, fixed it, and probably mentioned it twice. He’s the one who holds the price quoted on the call when he gets to your door, and the one who backs the 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing on every job.

Marcus Delgado – Senior Installer

Marcus has been with Otto for over a decade, which in this trade means he’s installed everything from a basic steel pan door to custom wood carriage doors on homes off Tower Drive. He’s the crew’s Clopay and Amarr specialist and the person Otto sends when a homeowner wants a door that has to look as good as it operates. Marcus is certified across all eight major brands we service, and he’s the one who measures twice and still double-checks the header before the first bracket goes up. He’s a San Antonio native, a Spurs season-ticket holder when the schedule allows, and the only person on the crew who can back a trailer into a Hill Country Village cul-de-sac on the first try every time.

Bonnie Vasquez – Service Coordinator

Bonnie is the voice on the other end of (830) 215-8185 most days, and she’s been keeping Otto’s schedule straight since 2016. She knows the service area street by street and can tell you whether the noise your door is making sounds like a bad roller or a failing spring before she even puts you on the schedule. Bonnie handles parts ordering, warranty paperwork, and the standing offers, including the free second opinion on any written estimate and the senior and veteran discount that never expires. She grew up in the Hill Country and has strong opinions about breakfast tacos that she will share if you ask. Bonnie’s rule is simple: nobody gets off the phone without knowing exactly what happens next.

Tyler Brandt – Apprentice Technician

Tyler joined Otto’s crew in 2023 after two years at a trade school in San Antonio, and he’s earning his hours the right way: riding along, loading springs, and learning that a door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. Respect it. He’s becoming the crew’s opener specialist, which means he spends a lot of time diagnosing units where the motor works fine and the real problem is a door out of balance. If the opener is straining, the problem is almost never the opener, and Tyler can now spot the real culprit in about four minutes. He’s a bow hunter in the off-season and the person you’ll see double-checking bolt torque before anyone calls a job finished.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works the same way. The phone is answered by a live person, around the clock. The price is quoted before the visit starts and does not change between the phone and the driveway. The technician who arrives is background-checked, uniformed, and carrying Otto’s name on their back, which means they answer for the work they do. Every job, from a $40 roller replacement to a full custom door installation, gets the same 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If something isn’t right, one call brings Otto back, no runaround, no customer-service queue. Locally owned, owner-operated, with a published address and license number you can verify before the truck ever leaves the shop. That’s the whole system, and it’s worked in this county since 2004.
