Garage Door Before & After in Hill Country Village, TX
Photos tell the truth faster than any pitch. The door you drove past for years, the opener that woke the whole street, the spring that snapped at nine at night. We fix what’s wrong, then we photograph the result because the work should speak for itself. Here’s what we’ve been doing in Hill Country Village and the surrounding county since 2004.

Broken Extension Spring on an Older Wayne Dalton

The homeowner called at 8:40 on a weeknight. The door had dropped hard on one side, and the car was trapped inside. We found an original extension spring that had snapped clean through after roughly 14,000 cycles. Otto quoted the job on the phone, held the price at the door, and replaced both springs so the tension stayed even. The door lifted by hand again before he left the driveway. One call, one visit, done.
Full Door Replacement After a Hail Storm

Texas hail doesn’t ask permission. This homeowner had a steel door that looked like a golf ball after a spring storm; every panel was dimpled and two windows were cracked. We pulled measurements, ordered a Clopay Coachman to match the house’s Hill Country stone, and scheduled the install around the homeowner’s work week. The before photo shows a door the owner apologized for. The after photo shows a door the neighbors asked about. That’s the whole point.
Opener Strain Misdiagnosed by Another Company

A different company told this homeowner the opener was shot and sold them a quote for a full replacement. The opener was fine. The door itself had a bent track and two rollers that had ground themselves flat. Otto realigned the track, replaced the roller set, and reset the opener’s travel limits. The result: the same Chamberlain opener runs quieter than it has in three years. If the opener is straining, the problem is almost never the opener. We saved this family the cost of a new unit and showed them the worn parts we pulled off the rail.
Wood Door Restoration on a 1980s Custom Home

This door was original to the house, built in the early 1980s. The wood had weathered unevenly, the hinges sagged, and one panel had split along the grain. The homeowner wanted to keep the door if it could be saved. Our crew pulled it down panel by panel, sanded and refinished the faces, and rebuilt the hinge mounts with new hardware. The split panel was glued and clamped with a backing plate. That door now swings and looks like it belongs on the house again because it does.
Roller Replacement That Quieted a Whole Block

The homeowner swore the door made enough noise to wake the dead, and their next door neighbor agreed. Ten steel rollers, all original, all worn to the bearings. We swapped in nylon rollers with sealed bearings, lubricated the torsion tube, and tightened the track brackets. That garage now opens so quietly you can hear a pin drop in the kitchen. A door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. Respect it.
Panel Replacement After a Backed In Bumper

The teenager backed into the door before it finished opening. We’ve all been there. The bottom panel was caved in, but the rest of the door and the opener were untouched. Otto sourced a matching panel for this Amarr door, swapped it in, and realigned the tracks. You cannot tell it ever happened. The before photo shows a sore subject. The after photo shows a door that reads the same from either end, same as Otto.
